Members have six spaces to trade in, while Freeplayers have two. In these spaces you can choose to either buy or sell an item of your choice as long as you have the item to sell or the money to buy.
If buying or selling multiple items, they may not all be bought or sold at once, but in smaller batches depending on what other people are trading.
The prices that you can buy and sell items for is partially pre-set by the Exchange itself, with you able to trade within 5% either side of that boundary. To find many of these prices you will have to search the Exchange, although for some items there are NPCs standing around who will tell you the current price.
